Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating the ribbon cutting for the new solar installation at Manheim Township School District Middle School, and we want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success. A special thank you goes to the students who participated and reminded us that projects like this are about more than energy savings. They're investments in the next generation.
The Middle School's new 734.4 kW rooftop solar array features 1,224 solar panels and 8 inverters, generating an estimated 892,133 kWh of clean, renewable electricity annually. Through a 30-year Power Purchase Agreement, the District is projected to save approximately $1.36 million with no upfront cost and no operational or maintenance burden.
Even more exciting, this project transforms the school into a living laboratory, giving students valuable hands-on STEM learning opportunities while demonstrating the real-world impact of renewable energy.
Thank you to Manheim Township School District, our project partners, community members, and students for joining us in celebrating this milestone. Here's to a brighter, more sustainable future!
