Today, Logan Price and Trevor Mainhart wrapped up the plumbing work for the Broad Street Market's temporary tent scheduled to open this spring. A couple finishing touches will be added next week, pending the arrival of a few parts! We were proud to sponsor the 2023-2024 #futurecity Competition, which was held on Saturday, January 20 at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg, PA. Alyssa Wingenfield, PE has enjoyed volunteering for Future City and been a member of the steering committee since 2010.
Future City is a hands-on cross-curricular educational program that brings #STEM to life for students in grades 6-8. Despite the snowy conditions, teams from all over Central PA came out for the 18th annual regional competition!
Participating middle school teams included Bright Side Opportunities Center, Donegal School District, Governor Mifflin School District, Immaculate Conception Academy, Kutztown Area SD, Linglestown Middle School, Schuylkill Valley School District, Middletown Area School District, Our Mother of Perpetual Help School, St. Stephen's Episcopal School - Harrisburg, PAg, PA, Warwick School District - Lititz, Pennsylvania, West York Area School District
