McClure Company Donates $70,000 in Plumbing Work to Harrisburg’s Broad Street Market

Harrisburg, PA (February 26, 2024) – On February 23, McClure Company announced its partnership with the City of Harrisburg to help complete the Broad Street Market’s temporary building construction. Vendors were displaced last summer following a fire at the market’s historic Brick Building. The temporary tent was originally erected last fall, but didn’t open because key construction work, mainly plumbing and electric hookups, had stalled due to a lack of bids.

McClure Company is incredibly honored to invest in the heart of the Central Pennsylvania community with a gift of plumbing work at no cost to help reopen the iconic market. The scope of work will provide water to more than a dozen vendors with designated space inside the market’s temporary tent.

We’re excited to push this project across the finish line for the City of Harrisburg, ensuring essential infrastructure is in place for this beloved local hub to thrive once again, with an official opening slated for this spring.

UPDATE
On March 8, McClure Company wrapped up the plumbing work for the Broad Street Market’s temporary tent scheduled to open in early spring. Finishing touches will be added the week of March 11, pending the arrival of several parts. McClure was thrilled to finish its work ahead of schedule so other trade partners can forge ahead with completion of the tent. McClure would like to thank its trusted partners, R.F. Fager Company and Viega LLC, who both assisted greatly by donating and discounting material needed for the project.
