Calpine Combined-Cycle Power Plant

Calpine’s York 2 Energy Center is an 828-megawatt, dual-fueled, combined-cycle electric generating facility that helps provide reliability to the regional power market. From 2016-2019 McClure Company has performed more than $13 million of work for the power plant in Delta, PA. McClure’s scope of work has included design, fabrication, and erection of steam and combustion turbines, boiler feed buildings, and heating and ventilating systems for plant buildings.

Calpine Power Plant Project Highlights:

• Installation of pre-engineered pipe and field supports, including steam and combustion turbine piping and vendor supplied lube oil piping
• 15,000+ feet of large and small bore piping
• Tubing, tube tray and tube bundles throughout the new plant
• 135,000+ hours of pipefitter and sheet metal work performed
• On-going HVAC service
