Northampton County Energy Savings Project

Northampton County taxpayers benefited from a holistic energy project that reduced operational costs while providing multiple necessary countywide facility infrastructure upgrades. The self-funded project focused on addressing outdated and inefficient building infrastructure without having to increase taxes. The result: a program that switched the county’s fuel from oil to gas and reduced energy consumption, saving a guaranteed annual amount of over $1.5 million. Northampton County’s partnership with McClure not only provided its taxpayers with a budget neutral project, but also removed the equivalent of 3,595 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year from the environment.
