In August 2020, McClure Company executed a Guaranteed Energy Savings Act (GESA) contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources (DCNR). This PA legislated GESA contract is valued at over $16.4M and will generate over $612,000 in annual energy and operational costs savings for DCNR. This totals more than $23M in project-related cost savings over the 18-year GESA repayment term.
In addition to cost savings, the project will produce many long-term environmental benefits for DCNR and the Commonwealth, as featured within the table below.
Administered under the PA Department of General Services (DGS) GESA program, this energy savings project will make energy efficient capital improvements to more than 1,500 DCNR facilities totaling over 2,138,222 square feet of space, distributed throughout 64 different “Central Region” State Parks and 16 Forest Districts in the Commonwealth. Some of the key improvements being addressed for DCNR under this GESA include:
The project is currently under construction. In collaboration with the DCNR team, McClure is on schedule to complete all new upgrades and improvements to DCNR Central Region facilities by July 2021.
