The Forest Area School District

The Forest Area School District partnered with McClure Company to install a 501.6 kW DC Solar PV System, serving 100% of the District’s energy demands. The project included installations at both East Forest and West Forest Schools. The combined Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is expected to generate over $600,000 in savings for the next 30 years.

The East Forest School’s 175.6 kW DC rooftop solar array was installed in conjunction with a new roof, also completed by McClure in the spring of 2024 as part of a guaranteed energy-saving project (GESA). The 326 kW DC ground-mounted solar array at West Forest School required a new service/meter for interconnection with the local utility that was designed by McClure’s Electrical Engineers.

As part of the commissioning process, McClure conducted an informational and safety awareness workshop for local emergency responders.
