Elizabethtown Area School District

Elizabethtown Area School District wanted to explore alternative funding opportunities to minimize financial impact on taxpayers, standardize systems and select partners based on best value. The district turned to McClure Company as their Guaranteed Energy Services (GESA) partner. McClure Company worked with the district’s architect to develop a plan that updated facilities and addressed goals set forth by the district.

District wide energy conservation measures were implemented to reduce utility expenditures by almost $8 million dollars over the course of the program. These expenditures were diverted to the capital costs of the facility renewal program, reducing the impact to the taxpayers. As they worked through their portfolio of buildings, system design was built around a standard system type that reduced the learning curve and impact to the district’s maintenance department. Finally, critical systems were procured through best value based on vendor support, solution capabilities, and integration to the district’s vision.
