Educational Scholarship Program Guidelines

The Dave Morsberger Memorial Foundation Scholarship Program is an annual educational scholarship awarded to dependents of McClure Company employees. For 2023-24, the Dave Morsberger Memorial Foundation plans to award one (1) $5,000 and one (1) $2,500 scholarship for both the spring and fall college semesters to qualified applicants. The number of scholarships awarded may vary from time to time at the discretion of the Board and the Scholarship Selection Committee.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be the dependent of an active McClure Company employee who has worked at McClure for at least 12 months
• Be currently enrolled in and pursuing a degree at an accredited college, university, or other post-secondary institution in the U.S. during the academic school year for which the applicant is seeking scholarship
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher; (high school graduates entering their first year of college must have a minimum average high school GPA of 2.5 or higher)

Applicants may not be:

• A dependent, child, grandchild, or any other close relative of a McClure Company employee who is on the executive leadership team
• A dependent, child, grandchild, or any other close relative of a McClure Company employee who is on the Dave Morsberger Memorial Foundation Board of Directors or Scholarship Selection Committee
• International students or temporary residents

General Guidelines

• No more than one scholarship may be granted to any individual applicant or family in any calendar year.
• Selections will be made without regard for race, color, national origin, age, or sex of applicant.
• Incomplete applications may result in disqualification.
• All information must be typed and submitted online; no handwritten applications will be accepted.
• The deadline for Spring 2024 applications is December 10, 2023.
• Scholarship award recipients will be notified and announced within one month of the submission deadline.
